Together we run our family business: Tempel Working Dogs. We started this small-scale business out of our shared passion for working dogs—and we still do so with our entire family.

We, Gerrit Jan and Dieuwerke, started our journey with our first Belgian Malinois early 2007. With this dog we joined a club, where we trained him to be a top family dog. A few years later our second dog arrived, another Belgian Malinois. We bought this male from a trainer in the area. On his advice we joined a KNPV Club. There we trained the dog further and eventually certified him in the KNPV-PH1 program. After obtaining his certificate he was sold to the Dutch Air Force. From that moment on more and more dogs came our way, and that is how our kennel started, out of pure passion.

A clear mission

We now have a small, but professional kennel with anywhere between 10 and 20 dogs. We train them for various purposes. The dogs receive plenty of personal attention from our whole family. They are walked with several times a day, usually on our own 6-hectare property. We also regularly take them out for socialization—variety and change of environment are very important to us.

Our mission is clear: training and breeding high-quality working dogs. All our dogs come from proven Dutch bloodlines, with character, drive and reliability as their foundation. We proudly dedicate ourselves every day to training dogs that really make a difference.
